So, I’m behind in writing about the wedding on Friday. There is so much I want to say that I was a bit intimidated to try to sit and write it all. I decided that I had better get SOMETHING down. Sadly the flash flickr badge won’t work. These pics can get you started. I know some of you want to see the Kwynne and Hope belly shots and there are several if you click through.
The drive was fine, although dark a lot of the way. The hotel and room were nice. Because we didn’t get in until after midnight, we weren’t really up and about to get the license as early as we had hoped, but it worked out OK. The license application had “applicant” and “co-applicant” but I guess the software hasn’t been updated so one of us has to be the husband. We decided that a pregnant husband was the best idea, so I’m hubby.
After lunch and primping, we headed up to North York to pick up Kwynne and her friend A who graciously agreed to be our second witness. It was SOOOOO nice to meet her finally!!
The ceremony was great. We didn’t know what to expect, but I don’t think I would have made anything different. The guy who did the ceremony was almost certainly family and put some extra oomph into it. He had poems to read and nice vows for us to say and there was generalized weepiness around the room. At our “real” wedding in 2000, we didn’t say mushy stuff to each other. We did a druidic-ish ceremony and it was very cool and “us” but not really very romantic. It felt very special to say the “normal” stuff to each other.
Afterwards, Kwynne took us out for a SUPER yummy Italian dinner. Mmmmm….
On Saturday, we drove up Church St. to have a look at The Gay. We ended up eating french toast and watching hockey at O’Grady’s Tap & Grill, a bear-friendly Irish pub. We stopped a few more places and then hit up IKEA (wheee!) on our way out of town to Niagara.

Congratulations again!! You guys look so cute in your matching purple. And I loooove the double-belly shots with Kwynne!! :D
Yea for you two… well, for the three of you!!! :D

Yay! You got to see the Gayberhood! I’m glad you found it. You see, now you have to come during Pride to see how *really* gay it gets (although a Saturday morning winter gay is also nice).
*And* you went to Ikea! I had a feeling yall wouldn’t pass that up :)
