We had an unfortunate poop in the tub experience tonight. Quinn was positively mortified. It was adorable. Quinn. Not the poop.
We did some stuff today, but as far as excitement goes, that was pretty much it. Not that I’m complaining. A little laundry, some leftovers, mall shopping and dinner out.
I still have a lot of pregnancy symptoms. Occasionally bubbles of hope seep forth, but that isn’t reality. It does seem especially unfair to be miserable about the baby and at the same time have a hair-trigger gag reflex, lower back pain and food aversions. My temp is still up. If I don’t go for the D&C, I wonder how long this will drag on?
Have I mentioned how much Quinn loves Mary? Yes, as in mother-of-Jesus Mary. We have a lot of them. There is one in particular that we let her play with because we thought she couldn’t break it (we were wrong). Here is Mary in her seat of honor. It’s from Ikea. That’s like mixing religions, isn’t it?
Hi. I had a missed miscarriage. This basically means that something happened to the baby at about 6 weeks but my body didn’t realise so i didn’t actually start bleeding until 12 weeks, a day before our first scan ironically. In the UK we don’t scan til 12 weeks so if we had had an earlier scan we would have found out sooner and saved a lot of time thinking we were actually pregnant. Apparently my body just didn’t cotton on that there wasn’t a baby so just kept growing the placenta etc but when it came to hook up with the baby (about 12 weeks) it couldn’t and so things started to happen. I had a d and c too which wasn’t as bad as i thought. This was advised by the doctor. Sorry to talk of things before you actually know for definate but thought the info might help you make decisions etc. Looking back i did actually lose all pregnancy symptoms – i just thought i was having it ok! Hopefully things will work out for you, sounds a little positive that you still feel some symptoms. Just rest up and hope you find out soon so that you can get out of this limbo-hell.
